Depending
on the age and size of your baby you can use the sling in 5 different
positions. Click below to find out how to put your sling on
and put your baby in each of these positions:
Back Carry
Tummy
to Tummy
How to Put On Your Sling:

- Start
with the curved seam towards the floor.
-
Fold sling in half inside of
itself creating a long tube
-
Put the sling on over your
head. (Think girl scout sash, or pageant banner)
-
The
seam should be opposite the shoulder that the sling is on and slightly
to the front.
- Seperate the 2
layers of the sling near the seam. You can now create a
little seat or shelf that your little one will sit on by pulling these
layers at a 90 degree angle.
- Make sure the
sling is flat across your back and not bunched up on your
shoulder. If it is not spread evenly on your back or bunched
up on your shoulder it will not be as comfortable and not fit as well.

How to Put Your Baby in the Sling
(Hip Carry):

- Hold your baby on the
opposite shoulder that your sling is resting on. Lift her
slightly up on your shoulder (as if you were burping her)
- Start by putting her legs all
the way through.
- Keep her up on your shoulder
at this point.
- Now begin to seperate the
layers of the sling (like you did above when creating the
seat). Begin to pull the back layer over her back while
keeping the front layer under her bottom.
- Finish pulling the back layer
over her back and begin to lower her into his seat.
- Now you can let go!
- Make sure that the seat is
fully covering his bottom. Her knees should be above her
bottom.

- Start in the hip carry
position
- Slide the sling around your
body, keeping the baby in the same place in the sling (their bottom in
the seam)
- Straddle your child's legs
around your back.

How to Put Your Baby in the
Sling (Kangaroo Carry):

- Hold your baby up against
your shoulder facing out
- With one hand cross her legs
in front of her
- Insert her bottom
first into the pouch (bottom into the seam)
- You may have to wiggle or
bounce her a little in the sling
- Make sure that the sling is
pulled up behind the baby (between you and the baby)
- This is a great position for
those babies who like to look out!
